Shadow Experience - The Bond Wedding

  • The Bond 134 East King Street York, PA, 17401 United States (map)

Join Megan Hoffer 1-ON-1 on wedding day.

Get exclusive access to strategy, insights, and tips before and during (breaks) on an actual wedding day. You will not need a camera for this experience.

  • During the wedding day you will serve an active roll fixing hair/clothing, carrying gear and generally being helpful while taking it all in: Venue locations, photographer roles (lead/second photographer) client/guest interaction, posing, timeline logistics, vendor interaction, the “do-s” and “don’t-s” of wedding etiquette…the works!

  • You will meet your mentor photographer at the venue (or getting ready location) 45-60 minutes before their start time for the day when they will give you the “run-down” on the day, and expectations during the wedding day itself.

  • You will receive the timeline of your wedding day experience via email 2-3 weeks prior to the date. Due to the nature of this “real life experience,” your flexibility is necessary as last minute changes are part of this industry. You will be expected to be available the entire day.

  • Your mentor will keep you in the loop prior to the day, as needed. Please ensure to provide the best phone number and email address your mentor may contact you when you purchase your ticket.

  • Your mentor will contact you via the email address you provided when you purchased your ticket for non-emergency information and via text message/call for last minute changes the day before and day of the shoot.

There is NO SUBSTITUTE for seeing a wedding day unfold in REAL time with REAL trip-ups and REAL lighting struggles and REAL client/ guest/ vendor concerns.

While your mentor will not be able to “talk settings” while actively shooting this real wedding, they will be able to discuss and answer questions during in-between times. Get More from Your Camera Class is the best place to learn all about how these professionals use their complicated cameras confidently under pressure on a wedding day or portrait session.

Social media only shows the flashy, positive experiences and almost never includes the real-life realities of an actual wedding day. Don’t get blindsided when it counts with paying clients. And, be careful shadowing less experienced photographers. It is imperative to prepare yourself for reality of wedding days with experienced photographers so you learn from proven professionals with a heart for teaching.

Learn how to connect forward before you go pro so you don’t end your career before it really even begins in this cut-throat industry.

Your ticket is non-refundable and  non-transferable within 1 months of the wedding date.
