SOLD OUT Portrait Session Shadow Experience | Maternity

  • East Donegal Twp. Day Use Area 1467 Long Lane Columbia, PA, 17512 United States (map)

Watch mentor photographer, Megan Hoffer, photograph a portrait session with real clients. Get exclusive access to strategy, insights, and tips before, during (when possible), and after the shoot.

You will not need a camera for this experience.

  • During the shoot you will serve an active roll fixing hair/clothing, carrying gear and generally being helpful while taking it all in: Locations, client interaction, posing…the works!

  • You will meet Megan 45-60 minutes before the shoot (at the time listed) when he/she will give you the “run-down” on the shoot, the session plan, and expectations during the shoot itself.

  • You will get the details of your session experience the week of the session.

Please note: Because this is “real time” things shift and change with the realities of life including location. Sometimes sessions need to be moved up for rain or shifted for one reason or another. So, your flexibility is of the utmost importance…just like it will need to be when it’s your own clients! We suggest clearing your schedule for the day to ensure you are available if things need to shift.

  • Megan will keep you in the loop as needed. Please ensure to provide the phone number and email address where she may contact you.

  • Megan will contact you via email for non-emergency information and via text message/call for last minute changes the day before and day of the shoot.

There is NO SUBSTITUTE for seeing a session unfold in REAL time with REAL trip-ups and REAL lighting struggles and REAL client concerns. While Megan will not be able to “talk settings” while shooting this real life session, she will be able to discuss and answer questions before the shoot, during in-between times, and after the session ends. GET MORE FROM YOUR CAMERA is the best place to learn everything you need to know about camera settings to shoot natural light portrait sessions.

Instagram only shows the flashy, positive photographer experiences and almost never includes the “real-life moments”. Don’t get blindsided and embarrass yourself when it counts with paying clients….prepare yourself for reality before you go pro!
