Take all the classroom learning and put it into practice in this interactive, fun experience....and, walk away with new images for your portfolio while you’re at it!
The event instructor will give feedback while you practice with real clients in a safe environment with friends where it’s OKAY to make a mistake or ask a question, if you have one.
The number of clients provided to practice on will depend on the number of photographers signed up to join in the fun. More photographers = more tickets available for clients = more variety for YOU....so encourage your fellow Members to sign up too!
We encourage you to sign up early to give us more time to recruit enought clients for all the photographers. We make every attempt to provide a 2 to 1 photographer/client ratio.
Clients will be a random mix of families, couples and graduates depending on who responds to our client calls. Clients will be provided a style guide and encouraged to "dress their best."
Note: Photographers may sign up to be clients too! It's important to know what its like on the other side of the lens. Plus, having new content photos will provide much value as you grow your business.
If you have attended or heard of a “styled shoot” before, this is similar in that you will have an opportunity to shoot and use the photos for your portfolio but different in that you will be shooting REAL people (not models) who have signed up and paid to be photographed by students of Lancaster Photography School who need instruction and are hoping to put your photos on their walls….so there’s some pressure to do your best!
The other difference is that there will be support available based on the classes provided by Lancaster Photography School.

EVERYONE will be given an opportunity to shoot each client group.
We highly encourage you to regularly attend practice shoots to complete your learning experience!
* Location is completely outdoors in natural light and will be held LIGHT rain or shine. In the event of heavy rain, the shoot will be canceled. You will be notified of any changes via the email address provided when you purchase your ticket.
* If something comes up and you are not able to attend, tickets are transferable to another photographer but NOT REFUNDABLE.

Photography School events are information-packed, in person classes, coaching and networking opportunities held on location and at Downtown Lancaster’s trendy The Candy Factory building and media studio.
